I have 2 very nice Zauri, and I'm now just checking out the new multiboot kernel that cortez posted on OESF forum.
He's the guy that is making Zubuntu more ready for the everyday user and the multiboot menu is just fantastic!
I currently am booting zubuntu and angstrom. And am working on getting cacko to boot from the menu.

I don't know if placing initrd.bin on a card will work.
I think you'll need to unpack a tarball to the card. I haven't found any tarballs of cacko.
You can tar up your cacko installation, but it is on two partitions with symlinks between these partitions, so I'm not sure how to do this.
I currently have cacko on NAND, and angstrom on my hard drive. I boot angstrom from the multiboot menu, then I can kexec to cacko from within angstrom.

cacko may boot from the multiboot menu, but I haven't got this to work.
cortez has released a newer kernel (2nd one) that detects the mtd NAND partitions, and this is supposed to detect a distro installed to NAND. You have to place the three files in /boot on this distro.
If /boot isn't on this distro, just create it. These instructions are on the install page for zubuntu.
