Any free software for scribbling down notes

I've been looking for a free software that allows me to quickly jot and scribble notes (free hand drawing) at the same time flip into multiple pages. I've been using ImagePad for all these years and it's starting to grate me how cumbersome it is. The space of the image is just not enough for me to scribble on.
If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears.

I have two note apps, the "sketches of Q" and the one built in to the Tosa. The tosa one might suit you better but it's part of an entire imaging suite and I'm clueless as to whether anything on your pda screen will be enough space. I can tell you the note pad on sl6000 is a lot better than sketches of q, but i don't know the ImagePad thing at all.
I doubt "sketches" is any less cumbersome. I wonder if the imaging thing on 6000 would work on your 5600. i think you'd have to do a lot of tweaking, but maybe not. don't know where you could find it.
Oh, yeah, "sketches" works on both the collie and the tosa.

ImagePad is the "paint" app
ImagePad is the "paint" app out of the default Sharp ROM on my SL-5600. It's not so much as the screen space as that I wish there was an app that allows me to "flip" to the next page and continue scribbling. ImagePad only allows me a single tiny page (just about the screen of my SL-5600) and then I have to save it and create a new file. It's maddening.
I'll take a look at Sketches of Q though I think that's a commercial app. I have no clue what Tosa is...

There's a download from Handango but it's not allowing me to grab the ipk. Keeps insisting on my phone/pda compatibility and the Zaurus is not listed there. :(

I think you would not like Sketches of Q then, as it is less versatile than the newer sketch app, much slower, and very likely to accidentally overwrite/erase earlier versions of a file if you aren't thinking.
Seems to me I may have seen some other note facility but I don't remember where and this would be on the 6000, which might be more compatible for you anyhow as the kernel is 2.6.18

Also, I'm really confused with Opie as to what I really need to do to get apps to install. All I know is I'm using the default Sharp Rom and I'm thinking that it means I cannot install anything opie there.
